Today I had an appointment Work Foundation today (New Lynn).  To discuss my career options and prospects.  Deferring perhaps from a penniless career in Super-Science, to .. a puzzle-piece between the Sys-Op and the spiritual called "the online retreat facilitator".  Is that so wrong?

Because I like to be sure I'm doing something worthy (battle-testing tendency), I played a bit of "Dragon's Den" with my case-manager there, to my "online retreat facilitator" notion.  I'm confident.  So shoot some holes in it?  See how I stand?

A computer addict?  Or a safe-haven and sanctuary to recover from the standards of the daily plebs?  Because I rely on water, food and clothing?  Good vs bad addictions is the punch line?  A super-positive space for all those who are interested to join?

Commercialization & Monopoly?  I am after neither.  Pointing to the more redundant system.  Yet still make a pay-cheque to get by somehow like a retreat center does anyway.  Though I may make notes (as tutorial) on using www.selz.com and www.paypal.com as I go.

I think all it was (the mental-ness) (as I explained to an Arahura staff yesterday), is that to me trying to create a www-site (in the WRONG way) is like stage-fright to 100,000 potential unhappy audience members.  Even if not in the flesh.  Enough shadow to philosophize?

Hi!  While I said my plan was to get a moderated blog component for this Joomla! CMS, I've decided that I'm just going to blog "just enough" (so interested parties don't have heaps to read and keep up with).

So they can get the bare bones orientation of what I'm pointing to.  The rest will be found via the store menu (to the left) either free or as whatever payment scheme I've chosen for that info.

In the mean time I hope to keep in contact with "old" friends via a ReCAPTCHA "Contact" page and a "BBS" (Login) page in the top-menu.  By invitation or sacred-bellot only (for now).  Just don't want to get spammed.

Limits I've hit for working on this BBS/web-site:

Anyhow:

* 5 minutes to talk about morbid things (contained) per week
(Crazy Chaplain blog).  Else I tend to panic.

* 2 hrs a day working on the BBS/web-site after-hours.
(like I would at school, BBSing).  And as instructed by doctors.

Also:

* 200-400 users / memberships per BBS / website total
(else "greedy" and non-"redundant" / to others?)

* 32 Nodes (connections) max (on that BBS).

Else for www-design work my opinions are:

* That you at-least get fair-trade from who you do work for (or else an amendment of "better than just fair-trade").

* Give a lot in GOOD charity (not BAD charity -- and "enabling" people in a bad way).  They act like share-holders or buffer-people in my opinion.  Paid to accept money to help raise an army of morale?  Perhaps to a company going "public".

* 20 mins for others BBS's (I only get 2 hrs a day PC use, etc).

* Or an idea I stumbled upon called "growth marketing".

Store limits:

* Hopefully my (online / e-commerce) store will only travel by "word of mouth", and other Sys-Ops (if they choose to operate similar set-ups) will get their share there, etc.  I'm sick of losing to monopolies and wouldn't wish such a sadness on anyone.  Redundancy is the name of the game?

* Unlimited sales.

* Other store limits discussed here.

Crowd theories:

* Actors looking happy, busily nailed to multiple takes?
* www publishing process (is by a team, not like a BBS Co/Sys-Op?)
* School classes of 30.
* 1-to-1 relations of Doctors & Therapists.
* How about Stadium Sports then?  (small team or 1-on-1?)

Finally:

That without observing these limits, I resort to panic-stricken "stage-fright" (even not in the flesh), like I were talking on a stage to 100,000 technologically-disinterested persons, feeling things are being pushed upon them.

Formula up-front (just to get started) for anyone interested in my perhaps way out-dated opinion.

1. Do I?  I don't know.  I've kinda boycotted Facebook
(perhaps kinda like "Rip Van Winkle") because (off the top of my head):

* Its too popular.

* Mark Zuckerberg makes tons while I get to be nothing.

* I'd rather separate the clergy from the laity ..
(people who are prepared and not prepared to accept etiquette).

2. On the other hand, the creation of this web-site may just be like re-inventing Facebook all-over, anyway.  How is that?  This web-site is:

* A blog people can "tune-in" to.

* An opportunity for on-line chat.

* Accepting etiquette is just a matter of friend / unfriend.

* Any once I've got those and are happy by those means, I might as well not care, and just use Facebook.

3. Counter arguments?:

* Some of us could use the BBS-like framework or model and create some "World BBS List" web-page for city-local BBS's for people who are prepared to create them separate from Facebook, MySpace or any of that kind of a system.

* I see on http://www.pouet.net/boards.php some have gone back to the "classical" BBS model.

* "Elite" clergy means you get to seem special.

* A BBS list is fun to explore and anticipate, like a lucky-dip.  A lot can be said for waiting and anticipation here / there.

* You get to form city-local relationships and friends.  And hang-out and forget to go to "Hot Shots! Part Deux" with them.

I've noticed something interesting when I go to Domino's for Pizza:

1. If I take a BBS mentality the clock there ticks slow.
2. If I take a www mentality the clock there ticks fast.

Like changing gears?  Bullet-time..!?

1. With BBSing, anticipation accumulates into satisfaction / enjoyment?
2. With www, Google fact-finding, soon roles into boredom?  Don't be evil!

Some people think time seems to go faster as you get older.  Maybe you try to optimize your wisdom, as you age?  I remember when I was a child and waiting 5 minutes for model glue to dry took hours and hours.  The past few years have gone in flash.  I think its maybe an Einstein kind of a thing?  And time-perception can be divided into at-least 4 categories:

1. Good and fast passage of time.
2. Good and slow passage of time.
3. Bad and fast passage of time.
4. Bad and slow passage of time.

This would have a connection of course to the aging process?

While humanity perhaps wants to perhaps speed up [see: "Speed" by Stephanie Brown, Ph.D.] and compress (or over-connect) reality into a singularity of instant gratification (and healing), just to finally slow down, rest and relish a source of daily X-mass?  Perhaps it is already so close?  My parents argue between the scenic route (Mum) and the "optimized" -- straight line, direct to a given destination (Dad).  Or I might say, "compact it all" into a purposeless / pointless point, yet of instant-gratification?

But sorry, life is short & I don't have time ..

That its a scarcity (rat-race) mentality to think you need speed-up, optimize, etc, maybe?
That its a mentality of abundance (industry), to put time to waste, like there is no worry?

Work hard? ; Work smart? ; Work silly?

* Its not telepathy, its what I theorize as being called a "divine resolve" (handshaking between) from when we set up our terms & conditions (character customization / unique taste / niche) as creator (Brahma-ji) each to our own reality?

* Dennis talks of VICTUS IN AMBITUS (Latin for "living on the edge") ; I don't know whether to read it as "be victorious in ambitions" OR as "ambitions turned vicious"?  Victory like you've already won?  THX-1138 ending.  LucasArts "Gold Guy" logo.  Then just coding and painting by numbers?  (more ad-hoc theories). 

A zeitgeist of fruit-like fashions / versions?

* Why raise your vibration if comedy perception is generally slower than tragedy?  The irony of slapstick?  Raise your vibe to be a being of light (speed) ; maybe DC Comics "The Flash?"

* The "Airplane!" comedy-movie and the desperate need to make fun of desperate measures?  Antidote?  Comedy is the Remedy?  Use the schiz, Greg!?  Heart to Heaven, devotional service, Sunflower logo?  Or chicken out to save my vegetarian soul, etc.

* Come back as a turtle cause you're too slow to reach salvation / enlightenment ..

* Oh rhythms of nature!
