1. Spoilers & sermons for the suffering and stressed.  Hint books?

Opinionated disclaimer: Any offenses here-in are not intentional.  Narasimha-deva could fix it with a snap of the fingers.  To not test the Lord thy God?  Yes, I am opinionated and willing to take a stand of strategic foolishness.  Better to start than to not start at all.  Pioneer sign of the Zodiac?  Freud.  Every new market had to start somehow?

The seed idea for this "blog" came from the fact that I give myself only 5 mins a week (contained) to talk about anything morbid on this web-site.  Else www-stage-fright looms for the demoralizing talk.  Not that all the entries for this blog WILL be morbid.  This is just how I've decided to handle this (what works for me).

To pull a splinter .. or surgery some situation (a positive cause) .. we may need to look at things that are perhaps unfortunately experienced as morbid.  So Sundays seemed the right day for that 5 mins, and .. it was often religiously related.

Hence: the Crazy Chaplain blog ..!

2. First distinction.  The Chapel vs Devotional service blogs.  Keeping 'em separated + why ..

Why?  Because too much talk of religion or politics makes for much argument and heated debate.  Yet I do seem to need to make some distinctions and points that perhaps bridge on religious talk.  So they remain separated for perhaps a type of Sunday service, presented as Food for Thought in this "Crazy Chaplain" blog each week?  The rest of the time its devotional (or "scene") service fun!  (super-high morale!)

3. Versioning of new cool spiritually related ideas I want to share that crop up during the week.  To store them to not trouble, or overdose one on morbid (or the otherwise).  Good-cop, bad-cop.  But relay then slowly as is relaxing for me.  Over the many weeks and years to come, etc.  My "current" limits???

Side note: are the following paragraphs in the right place?

Lemonsoft was originally intended to be a software business, and a video-game company perhaps, but (at this point) is the game (it targets) is the one we call "life"?  Its riddles and finding answers to them, maybe?  If that doesn't freak us out?  Or see new problems where none existed before.  To take that kind of contemplation slowly?  The big puzzle?  Do you want to play?

The organization titled: "Lemonsoft" -- somewhat skeptical of the fun of writing video-games, because after you've got your video-game character to "jump" and stuff, then the rest is just hard work?  Monotony?  So the fun of (making some wicked) procedural generation, instead?  Or saying my job is boring or remaining quiet (like some Oath, NDA, working-title or project code-name), so that people doing give me the evil-eye for the luck such a fun position?  Yet a day job, maybe?  Painting by numbers?  Conquest, -- one line at a time?  In your own words?  Or like a student working on different projects each hour, "before they get too fun"?  Bus-man's holiday?  Work mixed with pleasure?  Get the right job and never "work" another day in your life.  "Arise oh chastiser of the enemy?" - Sri Krishna.  "The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are." - Joseph Campbell.

Because without my life sorted or ducks-in-a-row, I struggle to get to the software business point.  And I know I'm not the only one ..!  Entering like the wounded soldier?

(lots of) Collaboration and room for everyone?:  Just because my "hints" work for me, they may not work for you, because (to me) a video-game could work in so-many ways.  Keep seeking if interested?  No stone unturned, maybe?  Yet play things safe.  There's got to be some kind of a commonality?  Evidence in which direction?

Its just the way it turned out (for me)?

Demo-coding rocks, and game-design is just a "Brahma-ji" position???

(the alchemy of) .. cracking the code to story or blockbuster?

We hear (in scripture) that the foolish man built his house on sand and the wise man built his house on rock.

But I tend to want to be extra sure I'm safe, so I tend to battle-test things to pieces.

We hear that is is easier to destroy than it is to create.

Thus I play the Devil to my own mind and situation.

Perhaps like an Anakin who isn't prepared to lose his life to a degree to gain more back?

Forget being so darned certain?  Ease up.  Don't be so serious?  Then live?

Just some opinions -- I haven't cracked it yet.

Testing ...

* Carl Jung (psychologist) speaks about how Westerners (might) project their deepest fears onto the East. I do this myself with misgivings about ISKCON.

* What's ISKCON? (note: I am not ISKCON, nor do I have any right to stand as a spokes-person to ISKCON in any form). Let me explain what I can. Its just the way my life turned out ..

* ISKCON stands for "The International Society for Krishna Consciousness".

* Now in my questioning about things, I was directed to a devotee by Devamrita Swami [ISKCON], who said I must not try to claim I am part of ISKCON.

* Whereas Mukunda Goswami [ISKCON] said to me how "any publicity is good publicity". Or quoting Oscar Wilde: "The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about."  Not that I'm out to say anything morbid, derogatory, malicious, offensive or knowingly means of envy!  Not out to start a flame-war of philosophical debate (jnana-yoga, speculation, etc).

* http://www.devamritaswami.com/

* http://www.mukundagoswami.org/

It has been said:

* "The path is narrow and few will find it".
* "Of all those who endeavor for perfection, hardly one knows me in truth".

* I start to wonder: where is "practical for the people" in this?
* A solution to / for the common-man?

* Make things seem rare or like Truth?

* Perhaps its suspension-of-disbelief (good illusion) for a higher-cause, taste or perception? (my speculations). One in a million, fish in the sea? Always meant to be together, never meant to be?

* Sarlo's Guru Rating Service (Masters and Wannabes).
* Sarlo's Guru Rating Service (Site Map).

* http://www.adherents.com/ (Major World Religions -- Pie Chart).

* The Truth will set you free, or The Truth is stranger than science-fiction?

Anyhow:

* Here (below) is my YouTube collection / play-list of favorite Hare Krishna music-artists: Aindra Prabhu, Vaiyasaki Dasa, Krishna Dasa, etc.

* Note: please give in charity to the Hare Krishna music-artists and purchase the audio track through iTunes or similar over-and-over till peace-of-mind or happier, etc?

* Now Nanda-Gopala [ISKCON] might say to me that I shouldn't care how the music sounds, any how the Holy Name should be enough. But see! I am a neophyte to the ISKCON system and (quoting) "am so unfortunate that I have no attraction for the Holy Name" (of God, etc).

* "Simple for the simple, complicated for the complicated?" Dare a Grail-quest to bring back the elixir (higher-taste) to the starving people, or just plain relax, fit in and thrive?

* Now sure, these YouTube videos may go over my limit of "5 minutes" to talk about the religious? But if interested, savour as you will? I think they all sound darn groovy! All glories to (aka "greets" / in our system?) those devotees with higher skill..!? (and/in their service to "Truth" .. "for the other devotees").

* Take a standard song and do it over? My personal "scene" take on X, Y, Z?

* All glories (aka "greets" / again) to the artisans who animated this fun production.  Please purchase (Google for it) (or look at it on YouTube) if it doesn't break copyright regulations.

* I recall how (out of the blue) Nanda-Gopala [ISKCON] once said that the (HKs / Hare Krishna's) are THG -- "The Humble Guys".

I've noticed that the "Crazy Chaplain" blog, takes what seems perhaps "morbid", puts it through like an "energy conversion box" over the week, whereby the worry matures into peace-of-mind or similar.

This reminds me of both:

* http://www.hemi-sync.com/

* http://www.bigmind.org/

(I am affiliated with neither, but here's some free publicity!)

You can see this is a work in progress.  Incomplete, sorry.  Aesop?

Is this really necessary?  Talk about the morbid?  A sad start to what?

I remember Tony with this image, back '92-93.  I couldn't really agree.  "But it'd different for me" (we all say).  Myth-busting ..?

Hey Tone!  Check out any flashbacks from Omaha beach and golf?  Cause we prayed?  It came with "Journey to the Infinite"?

* Ok, so a Govt-Funded "Beggar" (independant big-re-think-tank) -- researching BEST truth .. cracking the codes (for all) to best lifestyle and all-around solution?  For the good of all the people in general?

* http://www.bhagavad-gita.org/Gita/verse-17-20.html

OM is the transcendental sound vibration chanted before commencing every Vedic activity. TAT also is synonymous with the brahman as it signifies infallible, perfection and auspiciousness.

* http://krishna.org/ctfote/varnash.html :

The brahmana's position is that of an unpaid adviser to the king or government. The business of the brahmana is to understand the Vedic Scriptures and be expert in applying them in different places and at different times.

* http://prabhupadabooks.com/sb/7/11/14 :

Of the six occupational duties of the brāhmaṇas, three are compulsory—namely, worship of the Deity, study of the Vedas and the giving of charity. In exchange, a brāhmaṇa should receive charity, and this should be his means of livelihood. A brāhmaṇa cannot take up any professional occupational duty for his livelihood. The śāstras especially stress that if one claims to be a brāhmaṇa, he cannot engage in the service of anyone else; otherwise he at once falls from his position and becomes a śūdra.

* vedabase.net/sb/3/1/8/en2 :

A brahmana, ksatriya or vaisya will not accept employment for his livelihood under any circumstances.

* http://krishna.org/the-indian-caste-system/

It is said "kalo sudra sambhavah", "In the age of Kali everyone is a sudra."

-- and --

This is the biggest problem! Every sudra wants to be called a Brahmin!

* http://www.japagroup.com/2009/10/gayatri-mantra-and-harekrsna-mahamantra.html

By accepting the Gayatri mantra from a bonafide Guru one becomes a Brahmana, while by getting the Hare Krsna mantra from a bonafide Guru one becomes a Vaisnava. Just as a Vaisnava is much more exalted than a Brahmana, similarly the Hare Krsna mantra is much more potent than the Gayatri mantra.

* http://www.krishna.com/original-social-system

To ensure that the brahmanas stay free from the pursuit of power, wealth, and prestige, and that their work is, as far as possible, without self-interest, brahmanas do not receive a salary for teaching, but rather depend on charity and begging. They don’t accumulate wealth beyond what they need to live. The brahmanas depend fully on the Supreme Lord, and the other varnas support them for their valuable service.

Speculations from Greg:

1. Downloading of "saintly" qualities / to share?
2. Research of BEST truth?
3. Thanksgiving? (not Turkeys, loving exchanges?)

Mmn.  Back to finding something we can all agree on?

I know exactly what you mean ..

What has the following mosaic and it inclusion of Razor 1911 (demo-scene only content) have anything to do with a Chapel?

Well, its a long story, but ..  lets just say defense pointed to NMS (Nirvana Music System) and the NSA and NASA (whatever to make of that?)

And as it built, so did the mosaic.

If in your sight Sri Prahlada does not seem cool, for example, by needing the defense or Narasimha, that is not possible.  For protection means that he must be infallibly cool.  Perhaps a stunt-man to the Narasimha story / pastime.

Reminds me of Sys-Ops, who in the day may not seem cool, but are infallibly so after hours.  Just a thought.  Who am I to say.  Technically Achyuta (infallible) in my mind?

And still!: I am not ISKCON.
